Li’theca, Tshwane’s upmarket boutique restaurant and
function venue, will officially reopen its doors on the 15th of October 2020 with a grand
ceremony that will feature jazz sensation and songstress, Gugu Shezi.
The plush eatery took a 6-month hiatus due to COVID-19 lockdown restrictions but returns
with an updated, chef-curated menu, renovated facilities and the introduction of live
entertainment which includes Jazz Thursdays and Soul Sundays.
“Tshwane is a vibrant city known for its affection for fine food and a deep, soulful
relationship with music,” says Lindiwe Pholo, Founder of Li’theca. “Our patrons have been
acquainted with our five star menu and are about to experience food in a different way with
the introduction of new delectable dishes. We’re also introducing live entertainment on
Thursdays (Jazz) and Sundays (R&B and Soul) to complement the ambience of the
establishment and to upkeep the vibrance of the city.
Gugu Shezi – whose vocal talent has seen her share the stage with the legendary Hugh
Masekeka, Mafikizolo and a performance at prestigious concerts such as the Standard Bank
Joy of Jazz – will headline the grand reopening shindig much the to the delight of the livemusic-starved community due to lockdown restrictions.

adds Gugu Shezi. “Music will always be the language of love and I look forward to spreading
the love in an intimate setting at Li’theca.”
The Li’theca grand reopening night will officially launch Jazz Thursdays and Soul Sundays.
