Given its sizable look for a medium-size SUV, spacious interior and a bold appearance, the Kia Seltos is great value for money, more so when you chip in its keen performance for all occasions.
The SUV market in South Africa continues to grow in popularity, putting Seltos in the right place for additional option for consumers. However, don’t count on the Seltos to be in the mix just to add to numbers in the SUV market.
The Seltos boasts attributes that shout for its relevance, from its rightly priced entry level model – at R380,995 – to suitability for all occasions.
The Seltos looks self-assured with its wider ‘tiger nose’ grille, with striking headlights complimenting its sporty looks. Higher specification models include chrome detailing along the window line emphasizes the sweeping look towards the rear.
At the rear there’s an integrated metallic-look skid plate, a dual chrome muffler garnish depending on the model variant. All models come with LED Daytime Running Lights at the front, as well as front fog lights across the range. On the higher-spec models, fog lights, headlights and indicators are full LED, along with the rear lights.
As far as colours are concerned, stepping into Seltos showroom it’s more like a kid walking into a candy store. With seven funky names Glacier White Pearl, Steel Silver, Gravity Grey, Aurora Black Pearl, Intelligency Blue, Intense Red and Punchy Orange, the colour range is as sweet as heaven!
As if that was enough, there are also three two-tone colour options: Glacier White Pearl with a black roof, Intense Red with a black roof, and Punchy Orange with a white roof.
Though Seltos may appear made for younger, tech-savvy consumers, this SUV will give users of all ages a funky driving experience.
There are five derivatives, with the turbo-diesel models being issued at a later stage by the Korean automaker.
